Virginia L. Mihalik

Virginia L. Mihalik 88, of Raccoon Twp., passed away with her daughters by her side on Sunday March 19, 2023 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.  Born in Aliquippa a daughter of the late Dawson J. and Margaret M. Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her two cherished sons and daughter-in-law: Rick & Joyce Mihalik and AJ Mihalik, and 7 brothers and sisters: Emogene, Patricia, infant Donald, James, Eugene, Roy and Chuck.

She is survived by her husband Andrew J. Mihalik; two daughters: Carol and Jerry Olson, and Mary and Tom Marshall; 6 grandchildren: Sean Marshall, Jamie (Jeremy) Gilman, Nicole Marshall (Brian Lockhart) Brandon (Ann) Mihalik, Jerry (Trish) Olson and David (Sissy) Olson; 9 great grandchildren: Brian, Anne, Landon, Hunter, Emma, Jerry III, Skylar, David Jr., and Kendall; a sister: Agnes (Phil) Davis; 2 sisters-in-law: Barbara Smith and Debbie Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Raccoon Twp. Over the course of her life she worked  at Foodland Diner in Aliquippa, Hills Department Store, and she was a school bus driver for Hopewell Area Schools, a water meter reader for Raccoon Water Authority, worked the election polls, and lastly as a cleaning lady at West Aircomm FCU, Aliquippa.  She also was a softball coach, member of the Raccoon VFD Ladies Auxiliary, and she helped with 4-H. Most importantly, she was a great wife, mom and gram. Love you.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 2~4 & 6~8pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa. Where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11am conducted by her minister, Rev. Richard Herbster. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church 846 Rt 18 Aliquippa, PA 15001 Or to Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. 

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their dedicated and loving care of our mother and wife, Virginia.

  1. So sorry for your loss. Mom was a sweet and supportive loving person who will be greatly missed by all.

  2. Virginia was a wonderful woman, The 1st time I met her is when she took a 1 piece prom dress and turned it into the most beautiful 2 piece dress. My daughter loved it. Since that very day we were friends. We could talk forever about everything. No matter where we would see each other we had great conversation. She was a special lady and it was an honor knowing her.
