Clara Anne (Nolte) Schmidt “Auntie”, Age 96 of Moon Twp. passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Beloved wife of the late George Grossman Schmidt. Daughter of the late Clarence I and Margaret (McCollim) Nolte and brother Clarence N. Nolte. Also preceded in death by her stepmother Betty M Nolte, sisters Barbara Heinlein, Elsie Beasock and brother James B Nolte. The loving Aunt of James (Patricia) Beasock, Niece Audrey (Curtis) Verner and nephew the late William (Patricia) J Beasock Jr. She is also survived by many other cherished nieces and nephews.

Born July 31, 1926. She lived and spent most of her life in the Moon Twp, Coraopolis area.  Clara Anne graduated from Ohio Valley School of Nursing. She worked in Oakland for a physician office. Later opened Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios which she and her sister, Elsie Beasock, operated in Moon Township & Allegheny Center, Northside for over 27 years.

She was an active member of the Ohio Valley Hospital Nurses Alumni. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 2-8 PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Heights Rd) where a Prayer Service will be held on Friday, March 24 at 9 AM before Funeral Service at 10 AM in Sharon Community Presbyterian Church, 522 Carnot Road, Moon Township, PA 15108 where she has been a member since 1953. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Ohio Valley Hospital Nurses Alumni, MaryEllen Mackey, 209 N. Vireo Dr, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 or Sharon Community Presbyterian Church at the above address.
