William H. Anderson
William H. Anderson, 91 of Center Twp., passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Aliquippa, PA on August 26, 1930 the son of the late Lynn and Margaret Anderson. He worked for more than 30 years as a Yardmaster with the Railroad and after retirement, he worked for almost 30 years as a Security Guard at the Pittsburgh International Airport. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and a longtime member of the Aliquippa Baptist Temple. He was a Past Commander for the Center Twp. VFW #1821. He loved hunting, fishing, reading his Bible and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Joan Anderson in 2020, a son William Anderson in 2021, and 10 brothers and sisters: Lynn, Ellen, Grace, Margaret, Marian, Harry, Melvin, Charlotte, Lee and an infant brother, Harold.
He is survived by his three children: Mary Jo & Larry Reger, Center Twp.; Charlotte & William Church, Michigan; and Joseph Anderson, Arizona; a daughter-in-law: Colleen Anderson, Monaca; 7 grandchildren: Larry (Ashley) Reger; Gabriel Reger, Brooke (Scott) Coachman; Billy (Whitney) Anderson; Benjamin (Jillian) Huff, Christina Huff, and Jean-Sebastian Church; 5 great grandchildren: Bryson, Scotlynn, Brooklynn, Claire and Addison; and a sister-in-law: Rusty Anderson.
Friends will be received on Sunday from Noon until 4pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am conducted by his pastor, Rev. Ronald Cunningham.
Interment will follow with Military Honors conducted at Woodlawn Cemetery.
