Nicholas (Nick) DeFigio

Nicholas (Nick) DeFigio

Age 61 of Center Township, formerly of Monroeville, passed away at 6:43PM on Friday, March 11th 2022. Husband of almost 37 years to Toni DeFigio, the beautiful girl he spotted at the Baden VIP from his booth as a DJ. Together, they raised daughter Jordan DeFigio and son Nick DeFigio (and French bulldog Callie). Son of Nicholas DeFigio, Sr and brother to Jim DeFigio. He was preceded in death by mother Mary Ann DeFigio in January of 2022. He is survived by his family, his son’s fiancée Nikki Gallagher, and countless friends.
Nick had a memory like a sieve, always eager to share stories with his family from his favorite decade – the 80’s. He cherished the moments he got to watch Steelers and Penguins games with his kids and have some beers together, and always hoped he’d see the Pirates win another World Series. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to Tampa to visit their son and get away from the snow, and he rarely missed an opportunity to see his daughter play shows in the area. He was endlessly proud of her endeavors as an artist and of his son who achieved his dream and passion of becoming an airline pilot. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 with a bachelors degree in business administration and worked as a project manager at PNC Bank. He was a supportive dad, an adoring husband, and precious son of his earthly father and his heavenly one. He is now with his Lord and God, and is suffering no more. His family and friends rejoice for him, but will miss him terribly until they see him again.
Toni, Jordan, Nick, and Nikki would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and social workers in the critical care unit at the Medical Center in Beaver for their outstanding care and kindness in Nick’s final weeks. The family appreciates beyond words how the staff attentively treated him and fought for his life.
A celebration of life service will be held for Nick at Mt. Carmel Church on Thursday, March 17th at 11AM.

  20. I am terribly saddened to hear of Nick’s passing. We were in the junior high and senior high jazz band together and believe me, he was the coolest kid in school. Nick could play trumpet with some flair and grooved out style. He was fun, could dance like Travolta, and wouldn’t ever say anything negative about anyone. He was admired by many, including me to this day. May his memory be a blessing to his lovely family. Gonna miss you, Defigio!

  25. I am so sorry to hear of Nick’s passing.
I worked with Nick in the early days of Coventry Healthcare and if ever there was anyone to get the job done it was Nick. Like so many know he always had a smile on his face and if you were having a bad day he knew how to take that frown and turn it around.
I thank God for putting Nick there for everyone to enjoy and get to know.
Before I go I would like to share something with all of you…. When it is raining outside and you are out in it and you look into the sky and that rain falls into your eye that is a sign from Nick letting you know he is thinking about you.
    With Deepest Sympathy,
