Vaudie S. (Smith) Stetzer

With great sadness, Vaudie S. (Smith) Stetzer, 78, of Moon Twp. passed away on Sunday March 6, 2022.  She was born in Merkel, TX on September 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Jim & Lora (Price) Smith.

In addition to her parents, Vaudie was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Albert β€œButch” Stetzer and a son, David Jeffrey Stetzer.

Vaudie is survived by her three children:  Rickey Joe Stetzer (Deborah), Moon Twp; Lori Lynn Heinlein (James), VA; Michael Alan Stetzer (Roxanne), Coraopolis.  Six grandchildren, Jamie Lee, Sara, Katie, Mike, Matt & Rickey.  A great granddaughter, Izzy, and a large extended family in Texas.

Vaudie (Jody/Memaw) always had time for anyone and touched all who knew her, with a rare kind and generous heart.  She treasured her “Clubside family” as well as her own, and her children were her world.  Vaudie’s smile and humor will truly be missed.

All services are private. The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. is in charge of arrangements.

  3. I have many fond memories of your mom- playing Boggle and drinking Pepsi on Friday nights. Watching many movies on HBO- she truly brought the fun and energy! She always had a smile and such a positive outlook whenever we saw her! She will be missed!

  5. Memaw was an amazingly kind and loving woman. She will be missed so much. I will miss her calling just to ask me how I was or even ask me over for her chicken fried steak (my favorite). May God hold you and your family in the palm of his hands. I will never forget you Memaw. Your big hearty laugh and even bigger heart will remain in my memories forever.

I feel so lucky to have gotten to know her more during Sara’s wedding festivities and I’m going to miss her always commenting on my Facebook travel photos, wishing me good travels and fun times, she was really just the sweetest and so kind.
