Joyce Fae Farquhar

Joyce Fae Farquhar, 89 of Moon Twp., passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in Hemsley House McCandless.  She was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1936 a daughter of the late Paul and Freida Double.  She was a graduate of Ambridge Area High School.  Joyce was retired from Dr. O’Donnell’s office where she worked for many years as a receptionist.  She enjoyed raising her family and being involved in everything they did.  Joyce loved spending countless hours at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins.  She and her sister Nancy would watch the Pen’s games together on the phone.  Joyce also was a member of Sharon Community Presbyterian Church

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Farquhar in 2014; a brother: Donald Double and a sister: Helen Mosher.

Joyce is survived by her 4 children: Pam Farquhar, Tom Farquhar, Scott & Mary Farquhar, and David & Tracey Farquhar; 5 grandchildren: Tyler Farquhar, Jacob Farquhar, Emily Farquhar, Gina (David) Farquhar, and Jade Farquhar; and two sisters: Nancy Bolt, and Jenny Coville.

As were her wishes, all services are private.

    Pam, Tom, Scott and David, I always enjoyed stopping by at your Folk’s house in Amherst Acres over the years to catch up.

    I have good memories of your Father coaching us Cougars on the Saturday morning basketball games at the various gyms in the Moon Grade Schools and the Junior High School.

    In later years, I would stop in from time to time to catch up with your Mother.

    Your Folks were/are lovely people and May God Bless and Rest their souls and may God Bless and comfort you and your Families.
