Sandra Alyce Burns

Sandra Alyce Burns, 83, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 in her home.  She was born in Sewickley, PA on August 15, 1940 a daughter of the late Martin and Vera Burns.  She worked for United Airlines in many roles throughout her career. She was also a realtor.  Sandy loved to read. Her main love was her family, she loved every minute she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren, and her 3 generations of nieces and nephews. She also loved her friends.  She was able to form many valuable long-lasting friendships throughout her years.  

She is survived by her two children: Karen Sue Klodowski, Coraopolis, and Rob Klodowski, Hopewell Twp.; 3 grandchildren: Madison Marie, Mackenzie Lynn, and Matthew Robert Klodowski; 4 nieces: Dr. Sandy Mae (Perry) Sook, Patricia Ann (Doug) Wilson, Adrienne Marie Bargerstock, and Kelly Jean (Ken) Claypole; 8 great nieces and nephews; 6 great great nieces and nephews; and her pets: Pumpkin and Cooper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sallie Mae Bargerstock.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa from 3pm until 7pm. 

Interment is private.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Trenney’s Bar and Grill  from 2~5pm
