Elizabeth A. “Betty” Grimes
Elizabeth A. “Betty” Grimes, 85, of E. Rochester passed away on August 28, 2023. She was born in Rochester, PA on August 21, 1938, a daughter of the late John and Rose (Vargo) Stanko.
She is survived by her two sons, David Grimes (Debbie Romigh) and Mark and Dina Grimes; six grandchildren, Amanda (Tommy) Strella, Jarrett (Jena) Grimes, Todd (Megan) Grimes, Bridgette Grimes, Brandy (Matt) Perez, Angelina Grimes; her 13 great grandchildren, Alexa, Ryan, Hunter, Daniel, Alivia, Tanner, Marley, Karmine, Heidi-Jo, Matthew, Cheyanne, Lilly and Violet.
She is also survived by her beloved friend and caretaker, Pete Napoli; special cousin, Betty Samsa; extended family, Bob and Gerry Shultz; God children, Missy and Rob and also Tracy Woleslagle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM, at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, St. Felix church, 450 13th St. Freedom, PA 15042. Cemetery interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery

I was so lucky to have known Betty over the past 14 years. She was an incredible lady and was a joy to talk to. I’ll always remember the pride and love she carried for her entire family. I will miss her deeply. My prayers go out to her family and all that loved her. God Bless.
