
Melvin Richard “Dick” Hall
Melvin Richard “Dick” Hall, 91 of Center Twp., passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 in his home. He was born in Aliquippa, PA on October 22, 1934 the son of the late Melvin “Buck” and Juanita “Boots” Hall. He was retired from US Steel Corporation, where he was the Director of the Mail Center on Pittsburgh’s South Side. Dick had a lifelong love and passion for flying. He achieved his private pilot license at a young age and flew into his 80s. He loved working on and restoring airplanes. He was a founding member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 68 in Beaver County. He enjoyed volunteering with the Boy Scouts. In addition to airplanes, he also loved model trains.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and one son Richard “Brad” Hall.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years: Dorothy “Dutch” Hall, Center Twp; 2 children: Susan & Gary Loverich, Spring, Texas; and Daniel Hall, Industry, PA; a daughter-in-law; 4 granddaughters; and 2 great granddaughters.
As were his wishes, all services are private.
Private burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
