Richard H. Graham
Richard Hugh Graham, son of Thomas and Mary Jane Graham, age 60, died peacefully on June 7, 2023, surrounded by friends and family. A resident of Washington, Pa, previously of Canonsburg and Pittsburgh, Richard was most proud of his accomplishments in computer programming for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, developing and modernizing their data structures. But he was best known for sharing his love of Christ with the youth of the Christian Church in Pennsylvania through Laurelview Camp. For 44 years he has ministered to hundreds of campers, counselors, and co-Directors through his guitar music, his off-beat humor, and his ability to include everyone in both mayhem and worship.
Richard loved music and played several instruments. He was previously a member of the disbanded local bluegrass bands “Bluegrass on Rye” and “Pittsburgh’s tallest bluegrass band, The Rank Strangers”. Rich also loved traveling and the outdoors. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Canonsburg. He is survived by his siblings: Gladie Campion, Tom (Deborah Gleason) Graham, Trude Graham, Jayme Graham, David (Laurie) Graham, and Roy (Janet) Graham, his goddaughter Cassidy Shemm, 6 nieces and nephews, 3 grand-nephews, 1 grand-niece, and many, many cousins.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, June 18 from 2:00 to 6:00 at the First Christian Church, 120 Anderson Drive Canonsburg, PA 15317. A celebration of Rich’s life will be held at Laurelview at a later date.

I send my condolences to Richard’s brothers and sisters, and to his loved ones. What sorrow to lose someone who worked to help us have a better world. I pray that God imparts special blessings to my cousins who are mourning the passing of their brother.
