Dolores J. (Keenan) Willis

Dolores J. (Keenan) Willis, 77, of Crescent Township and Rehoboth Beach, died peacefully on April 25, 2023 at home with her family.  She was born in Pittsburgh on March 3, 1946 the daughter of the late William & Elizabeth (Ramolt) Keenan.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Cecil C. Willis in 2002, and her sister Margaret Schaefer & brother Francis Keenan.
She is survived by her three children:  Kelly Konz (Donald), Potomac, Maryland; Lauren Prepelka (Nathan), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Grant Willis, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; ten grandchildren, Kelsea, Lindsay, Garrison, Gabriel, Brooklynne, Lukas, Grace, Carlyn, Cayden and Camilla.  She is also survived by her brother William Keenan and numerous devoted nieces and nephews.

Dolores graduated from St. Benedict’s Academy and worked at Bell Telephone until she started her family for which she dedicated her time and heart.  In Pittsburgh, she loved to host Christmas each year for her family, filling stockings for every adult child and grandchild. She tended to her plants and many bird feeders. While in Rehoboth, she was an avid collector of sea glass, enjoyed her late afternoon visits to the ocean and happy hour with ‘snick snacks’ on the deck with Hickman Street or Pittsburgh friends. Regardless of the city, Dolores loved to take her faithful sidekick, Piper, on walks around the neighborhood and routinely attended her local Church. Now, after 20 years, “Babe” is joyfully reunited with Cecil.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday May 12th at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Township.  Private Interment will take place at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pittsburgh Foundation at pittsburghfoundation.org/michaelmcnaughtonban

Dolores had a close relationship with her great-nephew Michael McNaughton Ban.  His Pittsburgh Foundation serves philanthropies such as Cancer Caring Center, Jeremiah’s Place, Children’s Hospital…to name a few.
