Dolores Herron
Dolores Herron, 94, of Brighton Twp., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was born in Aliquippa, PA on August 1, 1928 the daughter to the late Isaac and Virginia Alger. She was an amazing woman. She lived most of her life battling Multiple Sclerosis with resilience and strength. None of which would have been possible without her devoted and loving husband Paul. Together, they were a shining example of a loving marriage and life long commitment.
Dolores was a prayer warrior with a selfless heart. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church. She dearly loved her church family, Pastor Rich, and her Sunday School class. She enjoyed gardening and planting red geraniums. She was always amazed at God’s masterpiece. She kept a meticulous house, where she welcomed anyone to come and visit at her kitchen table. She became family to neighbors and a friend to anyone that met her. She especially loved being with family at reunions and having phone calls from friends and family near and far.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Paul Herron on February 4, 2019, as well as an infant brother Norman Alger.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all her beloved friends.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 1pm until the time of Funeral Service at 2pm in Mt. Pleasant Church 846 Route 18 Aliquippa, PA 15001.
Private interment will take place in Beaver Cemetery.
We wish to thank the caregivers at Beaver Meadows for their kindness. They also became her family while she was there. We would like to thank her Hospice Aide from St. Barnabas for her compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society 1501 Reedsdale St. #105 Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
Dolores will be lovingly remembered as a woman of faith, who cherished and loved her husband and her ability to make everyone feel loved.
