Edward Carl Podany

Edward Carl Podany, 93 of Sewickley, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Masonic Village of Sewickley. 

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 5, 1932, the son of the late Edward and Victoria (Gunnerson) Podany. He retired from J&L Steel in 1984 after 32 years of dedicated service.

Ed was a long-time member of New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and a proud member of the Coraopolis Lodge #674 Free and Accepted Masons for 65 years.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mabel Louis Podany who passed away in 2024. 

He is survived by his three children, Vicky Bardell and her husband (Steve), Edward W. Podany, and Lisa Royster and her husband (Berkley); four grandchildren, Jim Wilson, Tim Cope, Victoria Trummer, and Eric Neiman; and 9 great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 11am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1pm at Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa, 2345 Mill St.

Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery

Ed will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his 93 years.
