  1. Alan lived life to the fullest with family, fun and work. We had the privilege and honor to work side by side for a lot of years. He made me better and our team better at Emerson! He will be deeply missed…

  2. Alan and I went to school together and were also in youth group at church together more years ago than I want to admit; he later married my cousin, Diane. We lost touch after high school, but reconnected on Facebook a while ago. I was shocked to see his obituary today. My sincere condolences to Diane and family.

  3. A good friend of my dad, and a good friend of mine. I’m still in shock. Loving, caring, and outgoing. Ale was always one of my favorites out of my pops friEnds. He will be waiting for you in heaven.

  4. I worked at Emerson with Alan. I was in customer service and spoke with him often. He loved his customers, and always had kind things to say about our team. He will be sadly missed by all. God Bless his kind soul

  5. Alan and I became friends when we worked together. I loved his humor and wit. He often talked lovingly about his wife and sons. The last conversation we had was all about how proud he was of his boys. I will miss Alan dearly. It was an honor being his friend. My deepest sympathies go out to his family.

  6. I was a former boy scout with Alan. We would stay up all night by the fire …at winter camp (it was too cold to sleep) talking. Telling jokes. I remember when he got his eagle scout. He was a laid back guy. With a good sense of humor. My condolences.

  7. I can not express how deeply this hurts, Alan was a great friend and I will always cherish the memories of the times together with him, Gary and Leroy. I’m smiling as I type this through the tears . thank you for the memories my friend.

  8. What I remember most about Alan is his engaging smile that drew you in as soon as you saw him! He loved to talk about his latest adventures outdoors and have you share yours with him!
My condolences to all his family. He will long be remembered by all!

  9. Alan was a wonderful person and friend. We would talk about his beloved Penguins. We were coworkers at Copeland but Alan was more a friend. It was obvious that he loved his family and his dogs. He will be sadly missed by all and will create a void we will not be able to fill.

  10. I have been Alans barber for over 30 years. He was an amazing guy fun to joke with and always great with advice. Most every haircut I could count on chips and guac from Chipotle! I always looked forward to his visits to the shop.(not just for the Chipotle)Ha! Gotcha Alan…Sometimes he would even bring his beloved Rocket in to see me. There are so many moments in each of our lives we have shared over the years. I too am writing this through tears. I will miss his friendship dearly. My deepest condolences to Diane, Scott and Shane as well as the rest of his family.

  11. I am totally shocked Alan is gone. My condolences go out to Diane and his boys and everyone who knew Alan. I worked with Alan for many years and was not only was he my supervisor but he was also a friend first. I hooked my train to his and we moved from several companies together. He always said that we worked well together, how could we fail. I owe a lot to Alan professionally as well personally. He was always kind and always fun to be around. He always had a wicked slice in his golf game but he said you got to work with what you got and he did. I will miss him greatly.

  12. I was so sad to hear this. I worked with Alan at Emerson and when I think of Alan I instantly see that big smile. He was such an upbeat, all-around nice person. My heart goes out to your family.
