Lee Edwin Hostetler

Lee Edwin Hostetler of Moon Township died on August 15,2006 in St. Clair Hospital. He was born in Johnstown, Pa on November 20,1953, the son of Harold and Olive (Giffin) Hostetler.

After graduating from Richland High School where he was a member of the wrestling and cross-country teams, he proudly served in the United States Navy as a machine mechanic.

Following military service, he explored the country and held various jobs including planting trees with the United State Forest service, inspecting telephone poles in Texas and driving a milk truck. He moved back to Pennsylvania and worked for the United States Postal Service as a truck driver and later as a trainer for new drivers, retiring after many years of dedicated service.

He was also talented with his hands and found great enjoyment in woodworking and building projects.

Above all, Lee was a devoted father to his son Seth, and took great pride in being a dad.  He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, his words were often either powerful or hilarious.  Lee loved a good laugh and had a quick wit that brought joy to those around him. A man of deep faith Lee cherished his relationship with God and was known for his heartfelt and meaningful prayers. His warm heart, quiet strength, faith and quick wit will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Lee was preceded in death by the love of his life, Bonnie Louise (Logan) Hostetler.

He is survived by his son Seth Nicotra. He is also survived by his sisters Sally (Hostetler) Jones (husband James), Jane (Hostetler) Krise (husband Bill), Gary Hostetler (wife Cheryl) Sister-in-Law Laura Logan (David Logan). His nieces and nephews, Katy Jones Haagen (husband Chad), Matthew Jones (Laura Lowrance) Jason Jones (wife Jenny Nichols), Becky Hostetler Markowitz (husband Jeremy). Patty (Logan) DeLozier (husband Ken), Joanne Logan, Jon Logan (wife Amanda), Sonya Logan, Travis Logan (wife Jen) Jeffery Logan wife (Kristi).

Friends will be received on Saturday September 5th from 10:00 am until time of memorial service at noon in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
