Evelyn “Babe” McElhose

Evelyn “Babe” McElhose, 96 of Hopewell Township peacefully passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022.  She was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Verne E Maratta and Katherine (Fath) Maratta.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles K McElhose; and her siblings: Lola McDowell, Lee Maratta, Zona Roscoe, Elva Hainley, and Warren Maratta.  
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Janice and Dennis Bires, three grandchildren Melissa (Jim) McGee, Maureen Bires, and Matthew Dennis (Amy) Bires; two great-grandchildren: Connor and Breccan Bires.
Evelyn was a member of Ohio United Presbyterian Church.  She loved her church family and her dear friend Marian Douglass.
All services are private.
