George “Buck” W. Flair

George “Buck”  W. Flair, 93, of Vanport Twp., passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 in his home.  He was born in Dunbar, PA the son of the late George Cecil and Elizabeth Flair on November 13, 1928.  He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  He was retired from Hydril where he worked as a pipe tester.  He was also a member of the Monaca American Legion Post #580.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son George W. Flair Jr.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years: Dorothy A. Showman Flair; 3 daughters: Mary Louise & Bill Tulenko, Baden; Rose Marie Melnick, Las Vegas; and Barbara Ann & Kevin May, Chippewa; 4 grandchildren: Laura (Ed) Hillard, Elizabeth (Martin) Hannak, Kevin (Jessi) May Jr., and Stephanie Lynn (A.J. Mullin) May; 3 great grandchildren: George, Myles and Jasmine; two sisters: Mildred Flair, Dunbar, PA; and Dorothy (Eddie) John, Morgantown, WV.
As were his wishes, all services are private. 
Private interment will take place in Normanville Cemetery.
