Lois L. Smith
Lois L. Smith, 89, of Pulaski Twp. passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 in her home. She was born in Freedom, PA on May 25, 1932 the daughter of late Glenn and Laura (Reno) Ours.
She was a longtime member of Unionville Methodist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Freedom High School. She worked as a secretary of the organization “Christians United in Beaver County” for 28 years. She worked side by side with her husband for more than 30 years for the Amoco Oil Company and then his own business Arch Smith Oil Company.
Lois and her late husband Archie loved camping. They camped with the Parkfinders Camping Club and enjoyed taking their grandchildren camping. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren as much as possible. She spoiled them rotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Archie Smith in 2018 (They were married September 22, 1950), two infant sons Kenneth Archie (1960) and Glenn Reno (1964), a brother L. Glenn Ours, sisters Margaret Russell and Sara Jenkins, a daughter-in-law Lorilee Smith, and a great grandson Edward Smith II.
She is survived by her two children: Brian Smith, Wooster, OH; Margie Plocinik, Pulaski Twp.; 4 grandchildren: Edward (Carla) Smith, Gerry (Patrick) Corbett, Justin (Sara) Smith, Ryan (Emily) Plocinik; 8 great grandchildren: Cari (Brandon) Pryor, Caitlyn Smith, Lachlan, Max and Gavin Corbett, McKenna and Lyla Smith, and Brooklyn Plocinik.
Her family wishes to acknowledge how wonderful the staff at Life Beaver County has been. Their loving care and kindness to Lois and her late husband Archie over the years is beyond appreciated. Thank you to all of you.
At her request there will be no viewing, a memorial service will be held on Friday October 22, 2021 at 11am in Unionville United Methodist Church.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
