Loretta Adeline (LeDonne) Phillips

Loretta Adeline (LeDonne) Phillips – (October 11, 1926 – January 16, 2016) 89 years of age. Daughter of the late Mario and Angeline (Furguille) LeDonne of Monaca. Our Mother entered her Heavenly home Saturday, January 16, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones to be welcomed by her parents, her beloved husband of 48 years, George Milton Phillips Sr. (July 12, 1996) and their dog Pokey, her loving son, Frederick William Mullen SP5/E5, killed in Vietnam November 5, 1966, and brothers, Frankie, Robert and Edward LeDonne. To carry on her legacy are sons, George Milton Jr. and Cindy Phillips (Conway, SC) and Daniel and Stacy Phillips (Vanderbilt, MI); daughters, Linda and Donald Carothers (Beaver Falls), Mary Ellen Phillips (Harmony), Sarah and John Lohry (Beaver Falls), and Lori and Paul Morack (Beaver Falls). Brother, Christy and Edwina LeDonne (Aliquippa); sister, Della and Leon Whipple (Sewickley); sister, Mary Ann and Arthur Broadbent (Ravenna, OH); sisters-in-law, Gertrude (New Brighton) and Eleanor (Alex) (Darlington) LeDonne; Denise Kunz, a friend of the family; 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren whom she treasured with all of her heart, plus many other loving members of her family. She served proudly as a Gold Star Mother with the Vietnam Veterans. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Beaver Falls. It was her faith in God that helped her during the times of storm that came along.Per her request; she was cremated and was laid to rest at the foot of Freddie’s grave in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Garden of Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.We would like to thank the nurses on 4 Main of Friendship Ridge for the loving care they provided for the past six years.Memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 862, P.O. Box 26, Rochester, PA 15074.A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 8, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Disabled and Fishermen Shelter located at the upper end of the lake in Brady’s Run Park then proceed to the Four Seasons Shelter for a reception.
