John E. “Jack” McBride

John E. ‘Jack’ McBride Hopewell Township John E. “Jack” McBride passed away on July 13, 2015, at his home. Born on May 10, 1939, he was the son of the late John E. and Virginia Adele Dougherty McBride. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry W. “Butch” McBride; his paternal grandparents, Harry and Selma Brunner McBride; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Bessie Thompson Dougherty; an uncle, Harry S. McBride, and aunts, Betty McBride Atkins and Alene Carlisle McBride. Mr. McBride graduated from Aliquippa High School in 1957. He worked for LTV Corp. in the Data Processing Dept. Jack was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Steelers and the Penguins. Mr. McBride is survived by his nephew, Shane McBride and wife Rebekah, and a great-niece, Sarah McBride of Abingdon, VA, and his sister-in-law, Juanita Lynn Bryant McBride of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Aliquippa. He is also survived by an uncle, Stanley Atkins, and several cousins. A private burial was conducted at Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Hickory, PA.
