Mary Anna West
Mary Anna (Hutman) West, 91, of Hanover Twp., passed away on November 13, 2018 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver. She was born on March 13, 1927 in Aliquippa the daughter of the late John and Mary (Oros) Hutman. She was a graduate of Hopewell High School where she was head majorette for 4 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Crescent Twp. where she was a member of the Altar Guild and taught Bible School for many years. She was also a member of the Norwood-Herrington Chapter #356 OES & Airys Temple #48 Daughters of the Nile. She was a wonderful homemaker, her life centered around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her favorite place to visit was Nags Head in the Outer Banks, NC. with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell West in 2012 and a brother John Hutman.
She is survived by her three children: Claudia & Bud DeVoge, Linesville, PA; Keith West, Hanover Twp.; and Kevin and Janni West, Georgetown, PA; 2 grandsons: Tyler & Travis West; 2 step grandchildren: Chip & Kristine DeVoge; and two step great grandsons: Noah and Nicholas Buss.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 4PM until 8PM as well as Friday 10AM until the time of funeral service at 11AM in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa.
Burial will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital 1645 West Eighth St. Erie, PA 16505.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of Heritage Valley Sewickley 7th Progressive Unit and the CCU, Dr. O’Donnell, and the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver for everyone’s care, compassion and friendliness that they showed to us and our Mom.
