
Janet Elizabeth Haller
Janet Elizabeth Haller, 85, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 1, 1940, daughter of the late Ethel Louise Nichols and Clarence Kearns. She was a retired caregiver, specializing in helping elderly people. Janet was a thoughtful, kind, and generous woman. She was known for always having a smile on her face, and nothing put a smile on her face as much as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband Ken Haller, a brother Kenneth Kearns, her sister Ethel Kearns Mayer, and a grandson, Stephen Ankrom.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah English; two grandchildren Amy (Chris) Baker and Matthew (Elizabeth) Ankrom; 8 great grandchildren: Aiden, Eliana, Vincent, Madison, Kenley and Stephen Ankrom; and Cameron and Annabelle Baker; two great great grandchildren; two nieces: Karen Mayer and Rachel Port, a nephew Jeff Mayer; and a very special cousin, Darlene Capper. She will be dearly missed by her close friends Eileen, Susie, Phyllis, and Jane.
The family is grateful for the care provided by Whitehall Borough Post Acute, UPMC Mercy, and OSPTA hospice.
