With deep love, we announce the passing of Donald Blaine Martin Sr., a devoted husband, father and friend, who died at home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, surrounded by his children. Donald built his life in Moon Township, PA and will be remembered for his warmth, quiet strength, and devotion to God and family. He taught his family the value of patience, forgiveness, honesty, and the value of hard work.

Donald served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962 and was a proud American that served in the United States and France in USAEUR as part of the Corp of Engineers as a firefighter. Donald was a painting and wall-paper contractor in Moon Township and surrounding areas for 50+ years and loved his work.

Donald, and his wife Patricia, were also devoted and proud members of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association since 1978. They loved to travel and spend time surrounded by family and friends.

He was the son of Norman L. and Mary M. (Fink) Martin who preceded him in death. Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend of 53 years, Patricia Mae (Erfley) Martin in 2015. He is survived by his brothers Norman, David, William and Edward and two sisters, Pamela White and Virginia Burnette, and preceded in death by his twin brother Ronald and Jonathan and sister Mary. Donald is also survived by his loving children, Patricia (Donald) Knouse of Moon Township, PA, Jacqueline (Marc) Carfi of Highland Falls, NY, Donald B. Martin Jr. (Heather) of Ambridge, PA, Michael M. Martin (Della) of Hopewell, PA, Mark L. (Taneka) Martin of Toronto, OH and Chad W. (Alie) Martin of Shaler, PA. He is also survived by sixteen (16) grandchildren and seven (7) great-grandchildren, and one (1) on the way.

His memory will live on in the lessons he taught and the love he gave so freely.

Friends will be received on Wednesday July 15th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9 AM.  Committal and Military Honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.

  4. To all the Martin children. I love you all and thinking of you today 7/15th and know my prayers all for you all too! I loved Don so much and very “thankful for the 90+ minutes I got to spend with him on 06/29th. He was a great husband, father, and Godly man! He was kind and funny at times.   5. We are so very sorry to hear of this awful journey and tragic news for such a wonderful man. Please know our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you all in these hard days ahead. Bobby and Patty were first cousins. Through the years we had many wonderful times with them and always had great laughs. I hope you can find some small comfort in the many wonderful memories I’m sure you you all have shared.

  8. Don Martin was a very devoted Christian and very good friend of mine, but he will be missed by all who knew him.
    He was known for his speaking in Church proceeded by a joke he would tell to help himself relax.
    As a man of faith, he looked forward to the kingdom of God
