Robert L. Squires

Robert L. Squires Jr. 76, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on March 26, 2025 in the VA Hospital Pittsburgh.  He was born in Rochester, PA on June 1, 1948 the son of the late Robert L. Squires Sr. and Elizabeth  E. Froehly.  He was a retired truck driver.  He was a US Army Veteran Serving during Vietnam.  He was an avid sportsman.  He loved to hunt and go fishing and was a member of the Southside Sportsman’s Club. He and his wife loved to go on rides on their Harley Davidson, taking numerous trips over the years.  He was also an avid Steeler and Pittsburgh Penguins Fan. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joann “Jody” Squires in 2017.

He is survived by his children: his favorite child, Ashley & Bruce Biggins Jr., Roberta & Zach Smith and JJ & Jeanne Hennessy; 4 grandchildren: Riley, Hayden, Benny and Taylor; his three sisters: Nancy (John) Simpson, Peggy Swogger, and his seeing eye sister, Michele (Harold) Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his dog, D.O.G.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
