Shirley Ann Watt
Shirley Ann Watt, 87 of Center Twp., passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 in her home. She was born on October 16, 1936 a daughter of that late William Gayle and Esther Lois Christy. She worked for Phoenix Glass and the former Carousel and Hotdogs and More at Beaver Valley Mall. Shirley’s family was her life, she loved spending time with her three sons and their families. She enjoyed going to the ocean, especially the Outer Banks and camping at their family camp in Jefferson County. She also liked to go fishing, although her favorite hobby was cleaning. She was a member of Raccoon United Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Richard E. Watt Sr.; three sons: Richard & Kimberly Watt Jr., William & Tammy Watt, and Kevin & Regina Watt; 9 grandchildren: Chelsea (Daniel) Plakosh, Lindsey Watt, Chelsy Brogdon, Justin (Frank) Aguilar, Brianna (Travis) Allshouse, Joshua (Kelly) Watt, Zachary (Andrea) Watt, Michael (Paige DePaul) Watt, and Kelsey Watt; 14 great grandchildren; two siblings: Clifford (Glenda) Christy, and Linda (Ron) Penrod; and two sisters-in-law: Kathy Mayfield and Karen Papinchak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Laverne & Jim McLaughlin; a nephew: James McLaughlin; two nieces: Carol Wargo and Kelly Strum; and a grandson, Louis Young III.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 4th from 4pm until the time of Funeral Service at 7:30pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
