Flora Elizabeth “Betty” Hamara

Flora Elizabeth “Betty” Hamara, 88 formerly of Independence Twp., passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 in Brighton Rehab and Wellness.  She was born in the West End of Pittsburgh on June 8, 1933 the daughter of the late Carl Earl & Flora Elizabeth Freebing.  She was a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step mother Eileen Freebing and numerous, friends, family and pets. 

She is survived by her husband John; her beloved dog Ellie; a daughter and son-in-law Lorena Hamara & Ron McWilliams, all of Center Twp.; and a brother-in-law Harvey Hamara, North Huntington.

All services are private.

Interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. 

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Brighton Rehab and Wellness 4 East for the wonderful care that they gave to Betty.
