Mary Martha Fox, 80 of Hookstown, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.  She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 9, 1941 the daughter of the late John L. and Mary (Story) Hayes.  She was retired from Bell Telephone (now Verizon) after 30 plus years.  She was a active member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church in Shippingport where she was a Sunday School teacher and instrumental in Vacation Bible School.  A member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Baden American Legion and an avid Poll Worker in Raccoon Twp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Daniel Alan Cook in 2015; her first husband Clyde Cook; 4 siblings: Jack Hayes, Bill Hayes, Rita Buranovsky and Donna Rex.

She is survived by her beloved husband: James Fox; a daughter-in-law: Marlene Cook, Aliquippa; three step children: Tari & Patrick Koty, Advance, NC; Dana & Timothy Seamon, Hubert, NC; and Scott Fox, Hubert, NC; 7 grandchildren: Danielle Cook, Marianne Cook, Grace (Spencer) Seamon-Lahiff, Kari Koty, Eryn Koty, Daniel Fox, and Rena Fox; a great granddaughter: Haley Cook; a sister-in-law: Nancy Hayes, and 2 brothers-in-law: William (Naomi) Fox, and Tom Buranovsky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on SATURDAY from 10 am until the time of funeral service at Noon in Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingport (170 Kerona Rd. Shippingport).

She will be greatly missed by her large, extended family and friends. Her memory will remain with all those whose lives she touched with her love, friendship and support. She was a beacon of light of love for all who had the great fortune of knowing her.
