Geraldine R. Mayhue

Geraldine R. Mayhue, 85, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away on Wednesday January 12, 2022 in Rochester Manor.  She was born in Rochester on January 2, 1937 the daughter of the late William & Alice Clear.  She was a longtime and active member of the Rochester Free Methodist Church where she enjoyed volunteering her time. She loved to play cards with her friends and enjoy dinner with her family.  Most of her time was spent with her daughter Tamera, niece Joyce and nephew Jason having memorable moments and long drives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mayhue, Sept 17, 2002. Don and Geraldine were married on July 20, 1957. Geraldine was also predeceased by her sisters, Alice Auld, Doris Wilmott, Ethel Clear and Sandy Sommerville; brothers William Richard, James, & a twin brother Gerald Clear, with whom she loved to argue with.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Tamera Mayhue, White Twp.; Tina (Larry) Paxton of New Sewickley Twp.; and her son: Dean (Kimberly) Mayhue of  New Sewickley Twp.; 5 grandchildren: Ethan, Garrett, and Finley Paxton of New Sewickley Twp.; & Kameron Mayhue of Streetsboro, OH and Kaleb Mayhue of  New Sewickley Twp.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3pm in the Rochester Free Methodist Church. 480 Jefferson St. Rochester, PA 15074

Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rochester Free Methodist Church.

The Mayhue-Paxton Family is requesting masks be worn in accordance with mask regulations to protect all attendees.

  2. Deepest condolences to the family ! Geraldine shared a recipe with me and it’s a family favorite now whenever I make it I will remember her .
