Carl W. Stanko
Carl W. Stanko, 66, of South Beaver Twp., was called home to our Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Lakeview Personal Care Home. He was born in New York City, NY on May 3, 1955 the son of the late William “Bill” and Yvonne “Bunny” Stanko. He was a fearless horseman, an avid car enthusiast, and loved being a long-haul truck driver and father. He enjoyed being a free spirit and was able to make friends easily, but he was most proud of his advocacy for the handicapped community in the early 80’s.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: an infant daughter Christie, son Robert, wives: Robin and Mary Ann, a brother-in-law, Fred Samsa and a great nephew, Cody Lentz.
He is survived by his daughter: Dawn (Joel) Smith, 6 grandchildren: Christian, Kyla, Ebony, Michael, & Regina; a grandson: Joshua (Kayla) Stanko; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters: Elizabeth “Betty” Samsa and Marie Stanko; 3 nieces: Tamara, Kris, & Lisa, and two nephews: Craig & William; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff, and residents, at Lakeview Personal Care Home for their selfless and heartfelt love and care for Carl.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 20th 2021, at 2pm in Lakeview Personal Care Home, 498 Lisbon Rd. Darlington, PA 16115.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lakeview Personal Care Home.
