Elizabeth J. Marchitelli

Elizabeth J. Marchitelli, 87, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Apollo, PA on December 22, 1933 the daughter of the late James and Emma Shirley.  She worked as a cook at the Hiltop Restaurant, Rochester and the previous Travelers Lunch, Bridgewater.  She was also a former custodian at Beaver Valley Country Club.  She attended Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John in 1997; 4 brothers: James, Albert, Lewis, and Ronald Shirley; and a sister Virginia Sipe.
She is survived by her three children: Darlene Shirley, Apollo; Mary Elizabeth Marchitelli, Rochester; and John (Robin Jo) Marchitelli, Rochester; 5 grandchildren: Rhonda Pozzuto, Melissa Bartell, Tony Marchitelli, Ashley (Rick) Frochio, and Jonathan (Amanda) Grimm; 7 great grandchildren: Savannah, Ryan, Jaxson, Alivia, Tyler, Hannah and Cody; and 3 siblings: Robert (Maryann) Shirley, Richard Shirley, and Geraldine “Doll” Cassellia.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 3pm until the time of Funeral Service at 6:30pm in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES OF ROCHESTER.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
