Mary Ann Poiarkoff

Mary Ann Poiarkoff, 98, of Aliquippa, passed away on Thursday May 27, 2021 at Hunters Personal Care.  She was born on July 26, 1922 the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Poiarkoff. She was a former Director of Nursing at Aliquippa Hospital, and then became the Director and Administrator of the Ohio Valley Nursing School.  She was a lifetime member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church in Aliquippa, where she was a Cantor.  And was also a member of the Greek Catholic Union.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six siblings: Michael, John, Virginia and Anne Poiarkoff, Elizabeth Galbraith, and Dorothy Holish.   She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4pm ~ 7pm.  A Parastas service will be held at 6:30pm in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS SERVICES OF ALIQUIPPA.  A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Wednesday at 10am in St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 1001 Clinton St.  Aliquippa, PA 15001. Memorial contributions in honor of Mary, may be made to St. George Byzantine Catholic Church.
