Clair F. “Popeye” Parrish

Clair F. “Popeye” Parrish, 89, of Hopewell Twp., died on April 29, 2019 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.  He was born in Hopewell Twp. on December 11, 1929 the son of the late Emery & Vesta Parrish.

Clair graduated from Hopewell High School in 1947, served his country in the US Navy, and was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter & fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Clair was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Joanne (West) Parrish, a grandson, Jason Stickles and four sisters & three brothers.

He is survived by his three children: Debbie Bowers (Christopher), Hopewell Twp.; Duane Parrish, Hopewell Twp.; Kenneth McClintock (Heather), TN.  Seven grandchildren: Amanda Thompson (Joe), Jessica Cipolla (Pete), David Stickles (Shauna), Nathan McClintock, Max McClintock, Elliot McClintock & Sophia McClintock.  Five great grandchildren: Bobby, Alexis, Callie, Bella & Vaya.  His special friend Jean Suskey will miss him as well.

Friends will be received today, Wednesday May 1st from 4-8 PM, also on Thursday from 10AM until time of funeral service at 11AM in the Huntsman Funeral Home of Aliquippa (2345 Mill Street). The Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors at 11:30AM.  Private burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Aliquippa.
