Kenneth “Ray” Morrison

 

Kenneth “Ray” Morrison, age 73, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital after a stroke.

Ray was born at home in Crescent Twp. Pa. on March 3, 1944 to Kenneth Sr. and Edith (Cartmel) Morrison and was spoiled by his three sisters Joan Kephart, Sylvia (Walter) Edenfield and Linda (Ed) Heinlein.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife of 55 years Christine (McGee) Morrison and his four children Kenneth “Ray” III (Lucy), Kelly (Rose), Kim (Jeff) Minton and Tricia (Lenny) Slugo. Ray’s grandchildren Andria, Frankie, Lauren, Jennifer, Kenny and Johnny, his great- grandchildren Timmy, Colton and Aviana as well as many nieces and nephews will miss him very much. Ray was loved by everyone!

Besides his parents, Ray was sadly preceded in death by his grandson Thomas.

Ray began his employment at J&L Steel in Aliquippa where his father worked and then left to start his own bricklayer/stone mason company. Ray, along with his son Ray III, did the brickwork for many beautiful homes in Moon Twp. and surrounding areas as a subcontractor for William R. Minton and Sons for many years. Ray’s interests were his hunting camp in Marienville Pa. and Nascar. He joined many friends reserving him a seat in heaven to watch the Bristol night race on Saturday!

Per Ray’s wishes there will be no viewing. A family dinner in celebration of his memory will be held later.
