Patricia L. Heymann
Patricia, L. Heymann, 88, of New Sewickley Twp., died on the 20th of March, 2017, surrounded by her loving and devoted children, in Franciscan Manor, Patterson Twp., where she resided for the past 2 years after a stroke on January 2, 2015.
Pat was born in Monaca, PA., on September 18, 1928 to Clyde and Loretta Jane (Ault) Pritchard. She grew up in Monaca and Hopewell with her mother and step dad, John A. Miller and graduated from Hopewell High School, class of 1946. She then married John R. Heymann on November 22, 1947, upon his honorable discharge from the US Army following WWII.
John opened Heymann Flower Shop on October 11, 1946 on 3rd Ave. Freedom, where he and Pat created beautiful floral arrangements for many years. They moved to their family home from 8th St. in Freedom, to Pine Run Rd. in New Sewickley Twp., in 1958, where they lovingly raised one son and three daughters.
Pat had a wonderful sense of humor, and her home was always filled with music. Pat was a wonderful mother, cook and host of the holidays, dinners and picnics. Her rigatoni and homemade baked beans were legendary. Her sandwiches were always made with love. The joys of her life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pat worked as a cashier at K-Mart, in East Rochester for 13 years until her retirement, where she received many employee awards and recognitions for her customer service. Pat was a member of St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, and the Navy Mothers.
In addition to her husband, parents and step dad, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty (Ralph) Riedel; her brother, Robert (Marie) Pritchard and a great grandson, Austin Wesley Leonberg.
Pat is survived by her three daughters and son in laws, Constance and Robert Leonberg, of New Sewickley Twp., Patricia and Blake Daniels of Economy Boro., and Paula and David McGee, Sr. of Patterson Twp., and a son and daughter in law, John and Marcia Heymann, of New Sewickley Twp. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jordan Sr., (Shelly) Leonberg, of Baden, Adam (Kristen) Leonberg, of New Sewickley Twp., Jared (Michelle) Heymann, of Livermore, CA., Alicia Heymann, of Pittsburgh, Krista Allmann (Nathan Jones) of Conway, William (Nicole) P. Allmann Jr. of New Castle, Brooke McGee of Patterson Twp., David (Leah) McGee, Jr. of Rochester, Jenna McGee, of Grove City, Ohio, and Rose Daniels, of Economy Boro.; also 17 great-grandchildren, Jordan Jr., and Mia Leonberg, Cole and Alexis Leonberg, Vanessa and Courtney LaValle, Lucas and Briella Allmann, Makyah McGee, Gavin and Joel and Emmaline McGee, Melina and Ryan McGee and Gavin, Breanna, and Kaylee Jones; brother in law and sister in law, Ernest and Marie Heymann; nieces and nephews, Otto (Levina) Pritchard, Bobbie (Bob) Dierdorf, and Ralph (Judy) Riedel, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 3-7 PM, in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (502 Adams St.), where a funeral service will be held at 7 Pm, with Pastor Nathaneil Christman, of Oak Grove Church, Zelienople, Pa. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Freedom.
