Walter I.Hendrickson

Walter I. Hendrickson, 88, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away unexpectedly, on September 24, 2016. He was born on September 17, 1928, a son of the late Walter R. and Myra (Barrett) Hendrickson. He is a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the Army, and was a member of the Local 833 Union, working as a laborer for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Holman) Hendrickson and his brother, Glenn O. Hendrickson. He is survived by his sister, Catherine (Jack) Keith; nephews, Ronald G. Hendrickson and James A. Hendrickson; and his dear friend, Hettie Marie Passmore and family. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-6 PM, in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Rochester (502 Adams St.), where the Beaver C. Special Unit will conduct Veteran Honors at 11AM, Thursday, followed by a funeral service, with Rev. Martin Gailbraith officiating. The interment in Oak Grove Freedom Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity.
