James Melvin Stanley

James Melvin Stanley, 69, formerly of Washington, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, in the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Oakland. He was born February 16, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late John and Marie Simms Stanley. Surviving are three children, Jason, Jami and Tonya; five siblings, Louise Stanley, Bob (Norma) Stanley, Don (Helen) Stanley, Elizabeth (Troy) Breese and Joyce (JoJo) Burgess; and three grandchildren. Mr. Stanley served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart for his service. He worked as a detailer with Premier Auto Sales for many years. There will be no services. Interment with military honors will be held at a later date in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. Arrangements are by Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Aliquippa.
