Kenneth M. “Butch” Woollett

 Kenneth M. “Butch” Woollett, 80 of Hopewell Twp. formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.   He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 17, 1941 the son of the late John and Marie Woollett. He was a retired US Navy Veteran serving 10 years during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired after 37 years with the US Post Office working as an Electro Mechanic and also worked as a bus driver for Pittsburgh Public Schools for 24 years.  He loved to cook and was a great woodworker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Aliquippa.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Carol Woollett, and his daughter Sheri Gaynord, Valencia; 6 grandchildren: Lauren (Chris) Gaynord, Mark (Jordan) Gaynord Jr., and Greg Gaynord, Ashley Woollett, Justin Woollett, & Crystal Woollett and his sister: Barbara McCloskey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Kelly Woollett in 1986; a son Kenneth Woollett Jr. 2004; a brother: Jack Woollett; and a sister: Nancy Sichak.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa followed by inurnment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
