Sara E. Trenary, 84, of Freedom, passed away on Tuesday February 6, 2018 in Trinity Oaks. She was born in Freedom on December 20, 1933 the daughter of the late Charles “Slim” and Rachel Acree. She was a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone and then worked for J.S. Mitchell and R. J. Rhodes for thirty years driving school buses for Freedom School District. She was a longtime member of Unionville United Methodist Church where she served on Administrative Counsel, taught Sunday and Bible School, and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Trenary in 1992 and a brother John Acree.
She is survived by her two children: John (Rose) Trenary, Summerville, SC and Susan (Anthony) Presto, New Sewickley Twp.; Three grandchildren: Michael (Robyn) Presto, Darlington; Christina (Derek) Guay, North Canton, OH; Isaac Trenary, Summerville, SC; and a great granddaughter: Macy Presto.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2~4 & 6~8pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Rochester where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11AM conducted by Rev. Doug Myers.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Freedom.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Trinity Oaks and Gateway Hospice for the loving care Sara received. The family would also like to thank her niece and nephew Bob & Judy Cantner and dear friends Esther & Jim Miller for their faithful visits and loving support.
