Roy Leo Alger Thursday, August 13, 1953 – Monday, October 17, 2016

Roy Leo Alger, 63, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Monday October 17, 2016 in his home. He was born in Sewickley on August 13, 1953 the son of Dorothy Alger and the late Floyd Alger. He worked for US Airways as a planner. Roy loved cars, model airplanes and hunting. He was a founding member of PACE Camaro Club and a member of Cruzin Few Car Club. He was also a member of the Beaver County Model Airplane Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Aliquippa. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Alger, and a brother-in-law Fred Shannon. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara Alger; two sons: Brent (Davina) Alger, Verona; and Wade (fiancĂ©e Alanna) Murrysville; 3 grandchildren: Vivian, Jolene, & Ethan; his mother; Dorothy Alger, Center Twp.; a brother: Rex (Donna) Alger, Erie; 3 sisters-in-law: Nancy Steele, Doris Forse, and Mary Jane Vandergrift; and a brother-in-law Bob (Mary Beth) Shannon. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2~4 & 6~8pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa, 2345 Mill St. where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
