“He never knew a stranger”
Bob (Dad, PapPap) lived a long full life dedicated to his family, his Church, and his art especially woodcarving. All his life he served the community as a volunteer: the Church (a founding member and lay minister of St Frances Cabrini); the Boy Scouts ( over 25 years as a leader); the Knights of Columbus; the VFW; the Beaver County Wood Carvers Club; the Festival of Trees; Old Economy Village and many other organizations. He regularly donated blood to the Red Cross until he was unable.
Bob was retired as a research engineer from St Joe Minerals Corporation. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran serving in the Pacific. And he was a proud graduate of both Rochester High School and Penn State University.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Theresa Halahan Napoli; three children: Chris (Paul) Vining, North Palm Beach, FL;Bernie (Duane) Hershey, Lancaster PA; Rob (Mary Kay) Napoli, Norristown, PA; 9 grandchildren: Pat Vining, Nadine (Dan) McGraw, Kara Hershey, Joanna Hershey, Andrew Hershey, Janet Hershey, Kat Napoli, R.J. Napoli, Frankie Napoli; 2 great grandchildren: Arianna and Delaney McGraw; a brother: Peter (dear friend Betty Grimes) Napoli, New Brighton; a sister Grace (Ted) Ruscitti, Aliquippa; a sister in law Rita (Joe) Napoli, Moon Twp. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Grace (Fucci) Napoli and his siblings: Joseph Napoli, Virgina Napoli, Marian Boeh, and Pat Porcelli; sister-in-law Virginia Napoli; brother-in-laws Joseph Porcelli , Thomas Boeh and Ted Ruscitti.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 pm & 6-8pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa, 2345 Mill Street, where members of St Frances Cabrini will conduct a prayer vigil at 5:45pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 am in St Frances Cabrini Church, 115 Trinity Drive, Aliquippa (Center Twp),Pa. Interment will take place in St Cecilia Church Cemetery, Rochester PA
