Zbigniew “Zbig” Adam Lachowicz

Zbigniew “Zbig” Adam Lachowicz, 79, of Hopewell Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 14, 2026 in Heritage Valley Sewickley.  He was born in Dinnington, England the son of the late Adam and Janina Lachowicz. A graduate from Colgate University. He was a retired Database Administer from Bessemer Lake Erie Railroad. Zbig was a longtime and active member of Ohio United Presbyterian Church, where he was the property manager for many years. He was a wonderfully generous person, helping out anyone he could. Zbig loved his family, he adored his wife, daughters and especially his granddaughters.  He enjoyed spending his free time reading and learning about history, a subject he was deeply interested in.

Zbig is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years: Cherryl Lachowicz, three daughters: Holly (William) DiCicco, Lisa (Kevin) Brown, and Michele Burston; four granddaughters: Ava DiCicco, Emma DiCicco, Kendele Burston, and Ke’ana Burston; his sister: Teresa (John) Bernaciak; and numerous nieces and nephews.

As were his wishes, all services are private.
