Joseph J. Burckart Jr
Joseph J. Burckart Jr., 84, of Crescent, died on Friday January 27, 2017 in Arden Courts, Pittsburgh. He was born in Sewickley on March 12, 1932, the son of the late Joseph & Mary (Waite) Burckart.
He graduated from Sewickley High School in 1951. He served his country at the Pittsburgh Air National Guard for 42 years earning the rank of Senior Master Sergeant, and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish.
He is survived by his wife of 52 yrs., Audrey M. (Walker) Burckart. Three daughters: Kimberly Burckart, MD; Lori Burckart, WV & Cheryl Gray (Robert), MN. Three grandchildren: Ashley Burns, Amanda Burns & Max Gray. Siblings: Mareta Taylor, Donna Cook & Edwin Burckart. A sister-in-law, Barbara Haslett.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Suyak and Barbara Trovato.
Friends will be received on Monday January 30, from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Parish (Everyone please meet at church). Private entombment will be at Coraopolis Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe’s family and friends. It was a privilege to have known Joe these last two years. We are sure he is smiling down at his wonderful family and letting you know he is at Peace now. We also wish Peace for all of you.
