Richard D. Smith

Richard D. Smith, 86, of Conneautville, PA., passed away on December 10, 2016. Richard was born on March 19, 1930 in Aliquippa, PA, a son of the late John and Grace Smith. Richard began his career at Westinghouse, and later moved to Conneaut Lake, where he operated may self-employed businesses. He was also an Air Force Veteran, where is served as an electrician. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Church, where he loyally attended services. Richard enjoyed cruising, playing billiards, water-skiing, and boating. He also constructed many buildings in Conneaut Lake, PA. He is survived by 2 children, Melissa Carr and her husband Chris Carr, Tracy Maras and her husband Dave Maras; a grandson, Nathaniel Graham; 2 granddaughters; and a niece, Cynthia Drake and her husband, Ed Drake; as well as many other nieces and nephews. A private funeral will be held for immediate family, and memorials may be made to the Mt. Carmel Church, 2720 Broadhead Rd. Aliquippa PA 15001.
