Robert F. Sloan

Robert Francis Sloan, 79, of Raccoon Twp., formally of Sewickley, passed away on December 11, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley. He was born on March 9, 1937 in Sewickley, a son of the late Robert and Elsie (Serena) Sloan. He is also preceded in death by two infant children, Cheryl and Bobbie Sloan. He is survived by his wife of 30years, Pat (Workman) Sloan; two children, Cindy (Ron) Matiko and John (Tina) Workman; four grandchildren, Sherri and Robert Dwyer, Brooke and Chris Workman; two brothers, Martin ‘Buzz” (Donna) Sloan, James (Cathy ) Sloan; three sisters, Mary (Tom) Allison, Lois Jean and the late George Munsey, Carol (Sam) Mielke; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Matiko, and many nieces and nephews. He is a veteran of the US Navy and he is retired from Allegheny Plastics, where he worked as a saw man. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 until time of services at 7pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Aliquippa (2345 Mill St.) Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Rich Herbster, followed by military honors by the Beaver County Special Unit.
