Frank Richard Bentz Sr.

Frank Richard Bentz Sr., 55, of Independence Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 9, 2023 in his home.  He was born in Sewickley, PA on November 19, 1967 a son of Alice Bentz and the late Henry Bentz.  Frank was a modern day  mountain man who loved being outside.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and country music. He loved his family and was a good neighbor, always willing to lend a hand with a warm smile and a touch of sarcasm. You would always see him with his cowboy hat on and his 2 dogs Beethoven and Cash at his heels.  

In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by a daughter Lea Bentz; and a sister Cindy Lynn, and a step daughter: Amanda Gartz.

He is survived by his mother: Alice Bentz; his two sons: William & Amanda Bentz, and Frank Bentz Jr.; 6 grandchildren: Klayton Henshey, Zack, Jake, Tessa, Luke and Sophia Bentz; his life partner: Carol Newhouse; her daughter: Nicole Gartz, and Carol’s grandchildren; his siblings: Dwain (Lori) Bentz, Ron Bentz, David Clark, Laraine Patterson, and June (John) Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
