Jane Theresa Prajsner

Jane Theresa Prajsner, 90 of Raccoon Twp., passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Tapestry Senior Living. She was born on February 18, 1931 in Jasienica Rosielna, Poland the daughter of the late Peter and Helen Szarek. She was a professional tailor and seamstress who was trained in Poland. She was a very caring, loyal and great friend. She came to the USA in 1949 and lived in Lorain, Ohio until she married Marion Prajsner on July 3, 1954. She was a long-time member of Mary Queen of Saints Roman Catholic Parish (St. Titus Church). Where she was an active member of the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed working with them and making pierogi. She was well known for being a great cook, baker, and decorator, the “Polish Martha Stewart.” She was a member of the Polish National Alliance and she was a member of the Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees for 21 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years Marion J. Prajsner in 2019, and a sister-in-law: Delores Prajsner.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law: Teresa (Dennis) Kohut, NC; and Jane (Wayne) Parrish, Raccoon Twp.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday from 3pm until 6pm in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Titus Church, Aliquippa.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
