Joseph J. Price, III

Joseph John Price III, 53, of Moon Twp., PA died Friday October 22, 2021.  Born on September 23, 1968, Joe was the son to Joseph Price and Gail (Trohaugh) Price of Greentree. Survived by his wife Eileen (Engle) Price and sons Benjamin and Jacob Price of Moon Township. He was loved by his sister Debra West (Jonathan) of Mt Lebanon. Loved by Mary and Daniel Engle  Also loved by his sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Duquesne University and earned a BS degree in Pharmacy.  He held a pharmacist position with Rite Aid for 25 years.  He was a beloved associate by coworkers and patrons.
Joe was known as “Moon” for his love of online gaming, his favorite being “Team Fortress 2”.  He had a love of music, and would make tapes & CD’s early on in life.  One of his favorite groups, was Wilco.  He continued to mention he would not stop seeing them in concert.  Joe had a terrific sense of humor, which kept everyone enjoying his personality.  Joe’s knowledge was impeccable to trivia, movies, actors & actress, he enjoyed Jeopardy.  Joe was called my chef, he had a love of food and enjoyed Alton Brown’s cooking, mostly because of the science Alton had brought to the show.  Joe’s favorite food to make was, chicken parmesan.  Joe had a love for adult cartoons, The Simpsons & Family Guy.
Joe has always been a supportive father with his sons, Ben and Jake.  Joe took up an interest in Lacrosse, where he held a position in Moon Lacrosse as President.  Joe helped with coaching Ben’s team as a youngster, but always felt he did a poor job, which wasn’t the truth.  Joe encouraged both boys in the sport.  Ben ended up being a DIII player at Saint Vincent College which made Joe proud.  Jake played in High School and travel Lacrosse which Joe was also deeply proud of. Joe was always there to step in when needed with Lacrosse at anytime.
Above all, Joe relished his families and longtime friendships. He loved to recall family events with details. Joe appreciated the many friendships overtime, he was a great friend to those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
