John and I attended the same church for a long time but I’ve only gotten to know him well in the last few years when he was unable to get to church. John was a joy to know. He was happy, intelligent, funny, and loved to reminisce about his many travels, his days in the fire department and the cars he owned over the years. He loved his late wife Judy and thought the world of his sons and grandsons. All it took was one visit to see that he was a favorite with the care-home employees, and rightly so. My fondest memory of John is his temperament. He never once complained of being wheelchair-bound, and this from a man who worked with his hands his whole life. We will always remember him.
We were sorry to hear of John’s passing. We were friends with John and Judy and the boys for 20 years. We celebrated many Christmas’s together. If Rich or David want to reach us Darlene has our address . We live in Missouri near Steve. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Comfort and peace be with you. Love Curt and Betsey
