Gregg Henning

Gregg Henning, 58, of Independence township, passed away peacefully in his home on May 20th 2024 with his wife and children by his side.

Born September 13th 1965, he was the son of the late Norman Henning and Julianne (Feltenberg) Henning Scimio.

After high school, Gregg attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He continued to enjoy painting and many other forms of art throughout his life. Gregg most recently worked as a custodian at South Side School District.

Gregg will most be remembered as an easy going guy with a peculiar sense of humor, always able to find something to laugh about where others wouldn’t; a free spirit, and an avid lover of nature who passionately believed in the importance of giving back to the natural world around him. He loved walks in the woods, gardening and tinkering on his countless projects at home. He was also a lifelong Steelers and Penguins fan. Most of all, Gregg was at his happiest when he was spending time with his family, who loved him dearly in return.

Gregg is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Tiffany Henning, his son Zachary Henning and daughter Sydney Henning. Gregg is also survived by his siblings, Norman Henning, Mona (Henning) Pyles and Richard Scimio.

Per Gregg’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  A memorial luncheon will be announced at a later date.
