Robert E. Jones

Robert E. Jones, 75, of Raccoon Twp., passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.  He was born in Aliquippa on January 1, 1948 to Gladys Gray and Elmer Jones.  He was a proud US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Hancock during the Vietnam Conflict.    He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Bethlehem United Presbyterian Church.  Bob loved to spend time tinkering with things.  He was able to fix almost anything and was always willing to help anyone needing something fixed. 

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sharon Jones on June 13, 2023; and his siblings: Bill Jones, Lena Waxler, and Barbara Miller.

He is survived by his two children: Susan and Michael Bird, and Robert E. Jones (Mary Gerrity); 3 grandsons: Josh, Jon, and Jim Bird; and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

Friends will be received on Saturday, July 8, 2023 in the Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa from 1~3pm and 6pm until the time of Funeral Service at 7:30pm.

Military honors will be conducted at Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11am in Woodlawn Cemetery. 

A family memorial celebration will take place at a later date.
